A Look Back Fanzine

Unerasable Memories: A Look Back Fanzine is a for-charity zine created to celebrate the anime film adaption of the manga. The zine will explore the memories shared between Fujino and Kyomoto that just cannot be erased from either’s mind! Whether the positive and inseparable moments they shared, or the desolate ends, all will be included!
We are aiming to produce a physical zine with a digital alternative, with both physical and digital merchandise, provided enough interest. Any profit not used to pay for production and compensation for contributors will be donated to The Society of Illustrators. For more information on why this non-profit was chosen, check out our FAQ.

Contributor Guidelines

Contributors must…
☆ Be respectful to other contributors and mods. Any contributors found participating in harmful behavior including repeated, targeted harassment; bigotry and discrimination; or otherwise derogatory and unacceptable behavior will result in being dropped from the zine.
☆ Be 16 years or older at the time applications close (July 31st).
☆ Have a Discord to participate.
☆ Adhere to all deadlines per the zine schedule.
☆ Communicate with the mod team in a timely manner.
☆ Create a new and original piece for the zine. Tracing, plagiarism, stealing, and AI are NOT allowed.
☆ This includes AI writing such as ChatGPT and character.ai.
☆ Inform the mod team if they are no longer able to fulfill their obligations as soon as possible.
☆ Keep their zine pieces private for the duration of the zine, including after sales.
☆ By applying and accepting a position in this zine, contributors are agreeing to follow these guidelines.
☆ Additionally, contributors will be considered the face of the zine and representative of its values. If it is brought to the mods’ attention that any contributors are participating in harassing or discriminatory behavior or using AI of any kind outside of the zine, they will be dropped from the zine.

As this zine is based on a oneshot, yes, spoilers are allowed and will have no warnings.
Are ships allowed?
Yes, shipping is allowed.
What is the rating of the zine?
This zine is rated 15+ in accordance with the manga’s rating of “T+ Older Teen”
Who can apply?
Anyone 16 years or older at the time applications close, July 31st, may apply. No previous zine experience is required.
Can I apply to multiple positions?
Yes, but you will only be accepted for 1 position.

How will contributors be compensated?
All contributors are guaranteed a free digital PDF of the zine and digital merchandise. We aim to compensate all contributors with a full bundle including the costs of shipping if sale goals are met. If this cannot be achieved, contributors will be able to buy the zine and any other merchandise at reduced pricing. Any additional profits will be donated to The Society of Illustrators as stated above.

Application Requirements

General Portfolio Requirements
☆ Submit samples that best represent your work and the style you wish to use in the zine.
☆ Samples that contain the following material must be tagged: NSFW
☆ All samples must be publicly available. If you use Google Drive, ensure that the "anyone on the internet with the link can view" setting is enabled. You can check your links by visiting them in incognito mode. We will not be requesting access for any private samples or portfolios.
Artist Application Requirements
☆ 3 - 5 samples (At least 1 samples of characters from any of Fujimoto's work is suggested, but not required)
☆ A portfolio
Additionally, comic artists must submit:
☆ 1 or more comic pieces.
Additionally, spot artists are recommended but not required to submit:
☆ 1 or more pieces that feature text alongside art.
☆ Previous spot art layouts, comics, graphic design elements, etc.
All artists will be evaluated on technical skill, completion, storytelling (or narrative illustration), and character clarity.
Additionally, comic artists will be evaluated on story, clarity in artistic delivery, artistic vision, and typography.
Additionally, spot artists will be evaluated on use of text.
Merch Artist Application Requirements
☆ 3 - 5 samples (At least 1 samples of characters from any of Fujimoto's work is suggested, but not required)
☆ A portfolio
☆ While it is not required, physical product samples are preferred.
Merch artists will be evaluated on technical skill, completion, merch design, and character clarity.Writer Application Requirements
☆ 3 samples between 500 - 1.2k words. (At least 1 samples of characters from any of Fujimoto's work is suggested, but not required)
☆ Samples that go over or under the word count will be disqualified.
☆ Do not paste samples directly into the Google Form question. All samples must be hosted externally (Google Docs, AO3, etc.) and submitted in link format.
Writers will be evaluated on technical skill, completion, narrative, flow & pacing, and characterization.
